CLASP Field Centre goes ahead!

A message from Dave Hayward, CLASP Chair:

We can now confirm that we are going ahead with our Field Centre at Nether Heyford. Whilst Saturday’s fire at New Creation was serious destroying three buildings fortunately ours was spared. It is the intention to transfer the furniture that we have been donated  by Daventry Library to the Centre on the 8th May. We will be looking for some volunteers to help with this transfer, watch for a separate email.

This is such an enormous step forward for CLASP, we must make the best use of it. Please think of ideas for its use, even projects that YOU might want to develop and lead on. A contact point will be announced shortly.

Additional Volunteers

We need to expand our team of enthusiastic and committed volunteers to fulfil a variety of roles and maintain the charity’s development whether you are able to give a few hours a week or more:
Volunteer help needed for:
  • Field work (field walking, excavation, geophysics etc.
  • Post excavation (processing and recording finds and archiving)
  • Computer and digital work
  • Fund raising
  • Publicity
