Reintering the Saxon remains

Here are some photos of today’s event. Sorry there are no shots of people – I was videoing during the ceremony itself. The video, produced by Harry Young, will be on YouTube when it is ready. There will be a link to it from this site.

The grave was prepared just over the hedge from where the cemetery was found.

These are the new grave goods buried with the remains, to replace the ones we have kept.

Re-burial of Whitehall skeletons

The Whitehall skeletons will be re-interred in a simple ceremony near the villa on Wednesday 26th June at 11am. Please park in the Whitehall paddock. If you are coming along, please email Nick to let him know.
